Loyalty: “Commitment towards a person or cause.”
The sixth enneagram type is known as the loyal skeptic or loyalist. The loyalist most often associates themselves with the enneagram type eight, often being their loyal friend. Loyalists are usually cautious about who they wish to approach in life and it is often hard to earn their trusts. They are usually very stable in their decisions.
Loyalists are for the most part introverts. There are still a fair few extroverted type sixes which is a surprise to many. They usually just enjoy socializing with one or two people, being the main talker in the conversation of course. However, for the most part loyalists are introverted as they fear approaching the outside world out of their “comfort zone” and they usually just stick with a few friends who have earnt their trust.
Sensors are far more likely to be loyalists. This is due to the fact sensors usually let the intuitive people make the changes and the sensors (in this case loyal skeptics) will follow them. This proves sensors are more likely to be loyalists.
Feeling types are more likely to be loyalists as they tend to be more agreeable; therefore more likely to agree with their “leader.” They also tend to say kind rather than honest things to please their master.
Loyal skeptics are usually judgers as they are constantly working to reach what they want- they work to get their friends to like and respect them. They also find it extremely hard to adapt to changes; for instance they find it extremely hard when a new friend joins their friendship group. This shows loyalists are usually ISFJ’s.
