Which MBTI type is the most calm?

Calm: “Steady, peaceful and stable.”

Well, this is hard. The calm type really does depend on the person, however MBTI does play a certain role in deciding.

Introverts appear to be more calm than extroverts. This seems true, whether they talk as much as extroverts or not. However, introverts are known as more pessimistic and anxious than extroverts, which gives them the opposite appearance. Overall though, introverts are more calm people and do not show as much energy as extroverts.

Sensors are more down to earth about how the world works, and they just try to get a long in our society. Intuitive people stand up for what they believe in and they want change, and they are therefore less calm.

Feelers are less stable and show their emotions more. And what does that result in? Being unable to control themselves as well, resulting in being generally less calm people. But are they more calm than thinkers? The answer would have to be yes, due to the fact that they are more patient and considerate of other people.

Calm People often do Yoga.

Often, calm people participate in relaxing exercises such as Yoga.

Perceivers are far calmer than judgers. They are more careless than judgers, and they tend to go with the flow, resulting in being stable and steady.

From this information, it is clear that ISFP’s are the most calm type, due to their low-level of stress, and peaceful attitude towards life.

I had a best friend who was an ISFP…she was not calm.

Lol yeah, remember these are generalizations! Not all ISFP’s are calm, but just more than the average type. And if this article was rewritten now, after 2 years from last time, I would consider changing it to ISTP instead

  2. Ben says:

Feeler are more patient with other people’s emotions, but in general they are not more clam them thinkers.
Feelers tend to get carried away with their emotions. Thinkers don’t. Thinkers remain rational…
Therefore the calmest type is probably an ISTP

Isfp are never alm.. Most cAlm are intj and intp and istp

Your description of intuition is more like Introverted Feeling, which is the dominant function of ISFPs. Therefore ISFPs are not the calmest. ISTPs have Introverted Thinking as their dominant functions, which makes them hyper-logical. Therefore ISTPs are most likely the calmest type.

I do agree that ISFPs are the calmest, I’m INFJ and I seem to surround myself with them, maybe that’s why?
