The most common MBTI type is hard to determine. However, after careful examination, it was discovered that extroverts are more common than introverts. This is because extroversion is a societal preference. But why is this? In the current day and age we are more globally connected than ever; with internet communication, a more widespread media and global transportation of resources, it makes it far more clear that we, as humans, are evolving to become even more socially inclined towards other people. Unlike many years ago, it is okay to get to know everybody in society, and being friends with more people is far more preferred as well. Therefore, extroverts are more common as an MBTI type.
Secondly, sensors are far more common than intuitive types. This isn’t a bad thing either. Intuitive people are the trend creators, the idea people. Sensors follow these ideas. It makes sense that there needs to be more people who follow the ideas than creates them; if everybody was intuitive, filled with ideas, who would be around to implement them. We need more idea implementers and followers than idea creators, as a result, sensors are more common than intuitive.
This world is viewed more logically than emotionally. We have been taught to be object orientated, and that to succeed in this world, we must aim for success without getting our feelings involved. As a result, many people have adjusted to this thinking orientated world, and we have been brought up with this thinking mindset. As a result, thinkers are more common than feelers.
Finally, judgers are more common than perceivers. This is because we live in a world where we must be organized and future orientated to get what we want. As a result, society has adjusted accordingly. This proves ESTJ is the most common type.
